Vinfen EHR Trainer in Cambridge, Massachusetts

##Job Description The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Trainer is a member of a team of trainers providing training to Vinfen staff and managers on a newly implemented EHR system. The EHR Trainer will travel to both administrative centers and programs throughout eastern Massachusetts and parts of Connecticut to deliver in person trainings including multi-day trainings, evenings and possibly on weekends. The EHR Trainer works collaboratively with the EHR team to ensure that training materials, training plans, and training delivery methods meet the needs of a diverse group of adult learners. The EHR Trainer will oversee the successful planning, set-up, and delivery of on-site training including problem solving issues with training delivery and systems. Job duties and Responsibilities: The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the information listed below: * Coordinates and conducts trainings with Vinfen staff and managers to insure competency in using the EHR. * Assists in the development of teaching outlines and determines instructional design methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conference meetings and workshops. * Assists in the development of teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration modes, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works, as needed. * Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc. * Listens and communicates with others in a professional and caring manner including sensitivity with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles. * Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring trainings and to understand the needs of diverse cohorts of learners. * Acts as a resource for ongoing training to Vinfen staff and managers. * Makes suggestions on improving work procedures based on feedback of learners. * Supports organization's vision and direction of the EHR. * Maintains professionalism in all written and oral communications, as well as personal appearance. * Maintains tracking of course registration, completion, and no-shows. * Keeps informed about and makes sure to understand EHR application changes and/or new functionality for inclusion into the training curriculum and delivery. * Perform other duties as required. Experience delivery training on EHR systems for a large geographically dispersed organization strongly preferred. * Demonstrated computer software and technology skills. * Excellent customer service skills. All candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and be able to satisfactorily pass a CORI, multi-state background check and employment reference check.
