The mission of Harvard Business School is to educate leaders who make a difference in the world. The MBA Financial Aid team engages with students across their career at HBS and beyond—from admitted students to current students to our alumni. Reporting to Director, MBA Financial Aid, the Manager will oversee a portfolio of Complementary Fellowships as well as lead Financial Aid communications and customer service. We seek someone with good judgment as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills to play a key role on high-performing team.
Direct Complementary Fellowship processes including Forward Fellowship, Kaplan Life Sciences Awards, SVMP Fellowship, Canadian Fellowship and Goldsmith.
Coordinate with key stakeholders around HBS to provide unified applicant experience across Complementary Fellowships. Work with MBA Admissions and other departments (e.g.SEI) to coordinate the distribution of these Fellowships.
Manage Career Support Financial Aid programs at HBS including Summer Fellows, Social Enterprise Loan Reduction Assistance Program (SELRAP), Private Sector Loan Reduction and Global Opportunity Fellowship. This includes being responsible for the relationship management with Social Enterprise Initiative, Rock Center and Career and Professional Development.
Arrange and lead selection committee meetings for these Career Support Financial Aid programs and oversee payment process. Establish tracking student funding tracking system for these programs.
Administer HBS year-end prizes using input from Assistant Director, MBA Registrar and faculty and other MBA staff.
Assist with needs analysis including our institutional needs analysis during peak times if needed.
Communications & Customer Service:
Oversee Financial Aid communications to ensure external web material is up to date and relevant. Work with appropriate members of MBA Admissions
Interact with MBA Program to facilitate clear and accurate information on myHBS. All edits will be made by Manager and Staff Assistant.
Work with staff assistants on a complete and seamless communications strategy regarding the financial aid email box and phones and financial aid letters.
Lead and create presentations and webinars
Serve as a point person for admitted students who want to discuss the financial aid process
