GRADUATE STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR SOCIAL IMPACT FELLOWSHIPS, Priscilla King Gray (PKG) Center for Public Service (part-time, 15 hrs/wk.), to advise undergraduate and graduate students on developing their social impact ideas and creating competitive applications; perform outreach to students and departments about PKG fellowships and other PKG Center opportunities; reviewing program applications from students and interviewing finalists; supporting students in reflecting on their work and impact; planning and implementing a speaker series featuring community partners, faculty, and students engaged in social impact work; managing program documentation; planning and implementing events such as reflection dinners and orientation events; writing blog articles or other media and support student bloggers; and conducting program evaluations.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: enrollment as a graduate student at a Boston-area university in a related field such as higher education management, international development, social work, public policy, social entrepreneurship, etc.; support for inclusive and equitable social change that integrates community voice; attention to detail; strong organizational, project management, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills; ability to comfortably navigate or learn platforms like SMApply, Google Drive, Canva, Canvas, and Airtable; comfort advising students and helping them to refine their ideas; and sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information and documents. PREFERRED: experience with entrepreneurship, fundraising, project management, communications technologies, technology transfer, and other relevant areas; and field experience in emerging markets. Job #21373-1 Hourly rate: $16.75 The precise schedule is flexible but at least eight hours a week must be during standard 9-5 office hours. This role is highly flexible and can either be a combination of remote and in-person time or fully in-person, depending upon your schedule and preferences. Students holding F-1 visas do not qualify for this position.
