We are seeking a top performing strategic Learning & Development Consultant with proven experience in designing and delivering world-class training experiences to clients and the field.
As Microsoft Advertising’s Learning & Development Specialist, your primary role is to develop and drive the effectiveness and capability of Microsoft Advertising clients, field sales and support organization by developing high impact programs that build client product knowledge, seller core skills and effectiveness, technical skills, capabilities and understanding of Microsoft Advertising sales model; platforms; products; and processes.
In this role, working with internal resources and/or with Training vendors, the Learning and Development Consultant conducts needs analysis, designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates tailored training programs and curriculum to achieve business outcomes.
Develop and maintain global, scalable training curriculum and solutions, including elearning, virtual and live instructor led modules, prioritized to team and business initiatives.
Partners and consults with senior stakeholders to identify current and multi-year business priorities, opportunities, conditions and outcomes for a learning strategy and the best solutions.
Conducts audience analysis to identify solution objectives, clarify business constraints and guides the design of a solution that drives the top MSA business strategy.
Develops innovative solution strategies to create cutting –edge design, the desired learner experience and drives maximum consumption within the target audience.
Identifies content sources, to meet learning objectives, makes buy, build, or customize decisions that are in the best interest of the company, selects and manages vendor and partner relationships for specific programs(s), ensuring the highest quality standards are met, adhering to business processes and goals.
Owns training delivery with accountability to measure ROI (returns on investment), business impact and effectiveness for absorption and presentation results/score for a given training program through evaluating feedback. Applies learning to program enhancement.
Drives program management to increase efficiency, on time and on budget accountability and impact on business result.
Act as a mentor to peers, and proactively share learning and experience with colleagues to increase the overall effectiveness of the Learning and Development Team.
Proactively contribute to building an inclusive work environment, puts the team above self, where everyone feels like they belong and can do their best work.
The ideal candidate would bring the following expertise, skills and competencies:
7+ years experience in Learning & Development in a Corporate, Commercial, or business environment: driving skill and capability development /behavioral change across sales, technical, product and core professional skill areas required.
Digital Advertising/Digital Marketing industry experience required.
Adult learning theory and learning tools proficiency e.g authoring and interactive tools.
Developing a continuous and modern learning strategy and curriculum across various touchpoints.
Ability and passion to facilitate virtual and live classroom instruction credibly with employees and clients at all levels of the organization.
Data driven for measurable impact with experience using learning KPIs (key performance indicators) and dashboards. analyze data and identify business needs and opportunities to design, deliver and improve learning solution development and delivery.
The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors, working through ambiguity and complexity, to identify opportunities and get to resolution effectively and efficiently.
Excellent program management skills to take a global learning initiative from needs analysis through to evaluation, working with multiple stakeholders, ensuring the program is delivered on time, in budget and delivers desired business outcomes.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and formulate recommendations to a wide variety of audiences are essential.
Team player with leadership strength to influence others and take initiative, establish a plan, spark people’s best thinking and work.
The candidate must have proven experience achieving successful business results in a global environment. Optimism, resiliency, advocacy, and flexibility. Graceful under pressure, able to work with others in high-pressure situations.
Post pandemic, ability to travel up to 25% globally to attend training events, team meetings, planning sessions, business reviews and industry happenings.
