3+ years experience in media production and media technology. Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
Additional Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong candidates will possess some skills in at least one of the following areas, and an interest in learning more about all:
Experience operating cameras, lights, microphones and other studio equipment.
Experience with video editing and post-production software, such as Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, and the Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with or interest in learning other creative software, such as Unity, Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, After Effects, Procreate, Logic Pro, Garageband, Audacity, Ableton.
Background in pre-production of multimedia projects including research, writing, outreach, and various preparatory tasks.
Experience with database and media management tools, including AWS S3, GitHub, Google Drive, Airtable and Dropbox.
Teaching, Education Technology and Instructional Design.
Analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical process issues.
Strong attributes and skills as a team member.
Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills.

The Media Production Coordinator will work within the Bok Center’s Learning Lab to support educational media projects (both in courses the Learning Lab supports and in Bok Center programs supporting graduate students and faculty). The role will involve highly collaborative work alongside the rest of the Learning Lab team to design and implement innovative assignments in Harvard courses. The tools and media that our faculty clients request evolve each year, so a large part of the role involves being willing and able to learn new creative and technical skills.
Reporting to the Director of the Learning Lab, the Media Production Coordinator will:
Set up and operate our studio’s media equipment, including video, film, photographic, audio, digital, and computer equipment.
Manage the acquisition, editing, and dissemination of media content including video, graphics, and animations.
Manage the ingest, organization, and backup of Bok media files, with responsibility for the ongoing safety and security of all Bok Center media.
Manage permissions and captioning for Bok Center media.
Provide training and support for student interns who assist with the media production workflow and direct support for students and faculty as they produce media for their courses.
Aid with research, writing, and conversations required for pre production.
Deploy and contribute to the command line scripts, utilities and databases we use for media management.
May assist in training, scheduling, and distributing work of other staff, students, casuals and temporary workers.
Work collaboratively with the Learning Lab team on instructional design projects for Harvard courses.
