Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians Pediatrician in Cambridge, Massachusetts
The Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Department of Neonatology is seeking a pediatrician for a neonatal hospitalist position. This position includes clinical and teaching responsibilities in the newborn units and delivery room at Cambridge Hospital, clinical care of moderately ill and recovering newborns in the BIDMC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and attendance at BIDMC high risk deliveries. Cambridge Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is part of the Cambridge Health Alliance network, a vibrant, innovative health system, based in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston's Metro North region, and dedicated to providing essential services to all members of the community, especially diverse and vulnerable patients. Its perinatal program includes 1200 deliveries per year and a level IB licensed neonatal unit. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the academic health center of Beth Israel Lahey Health System, is a tertiary patient care and academic affiliate of Harvard Medical School. The perinatal program includes more than 5,200 deliveries per year with an active high-risk maternal-fetal medicine service, and a 62 bed level III and II NICU with a well-established multi-disciplinary care model emphasizing family involvement. BIDMC faculty are highly engaged in health services and clinical-translational research, quality improvement science, health equity advocacy, and medical education.
The successful candidate should be board certified or an active candidate for board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics. Graduating residents and junior faculty are encouraged to apply.
