POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS)-Statistics and Data Science Center ( , to perform independent research in machine learning (ML) and applications, in the general area of theoretical ML with a focus on statistical and computational aspects of deep learning, equivariant neural networks, generalization, robustness, as well as applications in learning tasks in chemistry and physics. Will be mentored jointly by Boaz Barak (Harvard) and Alexander Rakhlin (MIT).

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a Ph.D. (expected or obtained) in statistics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics, operations research, or a related field; strong analytical and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinaryenvironment; and a commitment to participating in IDSS activities.
