PROGRAM CURATOR, Solve, to generate content, including issues addressed and speakers selected, for Solve events, most notably its flagship event, Solve at MIT. Will assist with conceptualizing and implementing the agenda, content, format, and logistics for meetings; and develop the processes for turning content into Solve event sessions. Responsibilities include staying current on international issues, specifically around innovation and technology; developing event programming and leading content development/research, speaker recruitment, and management; designing facilitated interactive workshops to gather ideas for new Solve challenges, including sourcing facilitators and subject matter experts; researching speakers and managing speaker recruitment; collaborating on content for marketing materials; writing briefings and conducting briefing calls for speakers; supporting event operations and program logistics; and performing other duties as needed. Solve is an MIT initiative that advances lasting solutions from tech entrepreneurs to address the world's most pressing problems. Solve issues four Challenges each year to find the most promising Solver teams who will drive transformational change.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree (master’s preferred); at least five years’ project management experience, including at least two focused on international development, social impact, innovation, or related area; exemplary oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; experience designing and facilitating interactive workshops and event sessions; comfort coordinating numerous time-sensitive projects; proactivity; and commitment to developing content with gender, class, geographic, ethnic, religious, and political diversity. Must be able to develop and abide by clear goals, timelines, and priorities; engage with high-level speakers and their staff; and set and meet deadlines within the context of a larger team.
