Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field preferred. Minimum 1-year experience in a research laboratory setting strongly preferred.
Willing to make a two-year commitment dependent on renewal of position after 1-year term.
Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: mouse handling, cell culture, microscopy. -Highly motivated, good work ethic, and able to work independently and as a team.
Follow protocols with attention to detail.
Produce accurate and high-quality work.
Think creatively to solve problems.
Excellent skills in communication, organization, and time management.
Additional Information: This is a one-year term position with strong potential for renewal.

We are looking for a highly motivated research assistant to join our team. As a research assistant, you will be working on projects that investigate the mechanisms of breast cancer initiation and progression using advanced mouse models and organoid culture systems, under direct supervision and mentorship of a senior postdoctoral fellow. Former technicians in the lab have successfully moved on to MD and/or Ph.D. programs as well as industry positions.
Responsibilities will be:
Flow cytometry and FACS cell sorting
Mouse husbandry, genotyping, tumorigenesis experiments, dissection
Cell and organoid cultures derived from mouse models and human samples
Cell and tissue immunostaining, microscopy, image analysis
Molecular biology, e.g. plasmid cloning, gene expression and knockdown, qRT-PCR, western blots
Maintaining accurate and detailed record of experimental results
