Prior experience handling mice is also preferred.Additional Information: This is a one-year term position from date of hire, with possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position.

The lab's focus is on understanding the vagus nerve - a major communication axis between the brain and body that helps monitor the physiological state of internal organs. Through genetic and molecular approaches, they investigate how the vagus nerve regulate vitals functions like breathing, heart rate and digestion. The successful candidate will assist directly with research on the vagus nerve and airway physiology in mice, and will perform experiments with oversight from a postdoctoral fellow. - Work efficiently and cooperatively to assist postdoc with experiments.
-Collect, process, log and communicate experimental results related to the project using a variety of scientific, word processing, spreadsheet or business communication applications.
-Assist with other support duties relating to the project, including cleaning equipment, preparing buffers or ordering supplies.
-Participate in laboratory meetings and read literature applicable to the research area.
