The Fishman Laboratory in the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology at Harvard University is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled research assistant with an interest in developmental biology, genetics, and social behaviors. The Fishman Lab is interested in dissecting complex social behavior by using zebrafish as a model system.
The candidate will work closely with scientists in the lab and will perform daily activities, including:
Assistance with zebrafish line maintenance and genotyping;
Perform standard molecular biology techniques (including cloning, PCR, DNA and Protein extraction, T7E1 assays, etc.);
Prepare complex chemical solutions and media;
Operate scientific equipment, requiring a high degree of skill and/or precision;
Record results of experiments according to standard laboratory techniques;
