Must be able to prioritize, and to work independently in a deadline-oriented department.
Knowledge of fundraising in a nonprofit setting helpful; ability to handle multiple and ongoing projects.
Must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; writing and editing experience a plus; attention to detail.
Must be a professional, honest and reliable person. Must have the ability and confidence to interact with people at all levels of the organization. Must have the capability to evaluate problems accurately and identify issues that need to be addressed. Must use sound judgment and have excellent diplomatic skills.
Ability to use extreme discretion and professionalism when working with highly confidential information.

Reporting to the Director of Research & Prospect Management, this time limited position will cover the maternity leaves of two members of the team.
• Under the supervision of senior members of the team, conducts basic biographical research, including background, philanthropy and connections, and synthesizing into written profiles
• Use of fee based databases and basic internet searches to ascertain information
• Screening of periodicals for relevant stories about alumni, industry news and trends in philanthropy
• Additional projects as needed
Works independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced work environment of multiple and changing priorities. Anticipates and resolves problems.
