  • BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering or related field.

  • Three plus (3+) years of experience managing and configuring a small to medium enterprise production Windows & Linux environment.

  • Two plus (2+) years of experience managing and configuring multiple firewall and/or UTM appliances, preferably Check Point devices, in a production environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Four plus (4+) years of IT experience including at least one year of experience in network management.

  • Two plus (2+) years of experience developing and maintaining systems administration tools with one of the following scripting languages: Perl, Python, or Ruby.

  • One (1) or more years of experience managing systems and networks in an AWS environment. Experience with VMWare is desired.

  • Experience with Active Directory/LDAP is preferred.

The Infrastructure Engineer for the Division of Continuing Education (DCE) MIS is responsible for maintaining and protecting the internal computing infrastructure of the Division of Continuing Education, working with other Infrastructure team members.

  • This position will be a key member of the team responsible for managing the On-premise Windows and Linux servers, firewalls, IPSec, and other security measures used to protect DCE’s information and interconnect our various locations.

  • The position will be a member of the Server and Network Administration team for DCE administrative systems, primarily Linux, and OS X including servers, computing appliances, and network devices such as routers and switches.

  • S\\He will work with other DCE stakeholders, both within MIS and in other business units, to ensure smooth operations, meet compliance and availability goals and plan for further expansion for DCE administrative organizations and processes.
