Job Description

The Assistant/Associate Director, Career Services is responsible for the design, development, participation, coordination and implementation of programs to meet the career development needs of MSA, MSF, and Full/ Part Time MBA, students. This position plays a critical role in developing the Carroll School of Management?s position among the elite graduate business schools in the country.

Design, development, participation, coordination, and implementation of programs to meet the career development need MSA, MSF and Full/Part Time MBA students.

Meet with students for individual career counseling and career self-assessment sessions.

Design programs to include topics such as resume preparation, interviewing skills workshops, conducting mock interviews, setting up and facilitating industry specific career panels, establishing an alumni mentoring program, and conducting compensation negotiation training.

Facilitate successful relationships between corporate recruiting needs and student career development needs. Conduct corporate

outreach to improve both the number and caliber of companies recruiting on campus.

Proven successful experience with designing and developing career development programs. Demonstrated success and knowledge of

graduate career planning and placement.

Experience with advising on interviewing skills and techniques for; knowledge and experience in building and managing career planning

strategies and using technology for career search.

Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, and commitment to meeting objectives. High energy, enthusiasm, innovative

style, and interest in taking on challenges.

Desire to be a part of a highly motivated and performance-oriented management team. Must have high energy, enthusiasm, innovative style, and interest in taking on challenges.

Interest and ability to work with intelligent and assertive adult student population

Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:

Associate Director: minimum 5 years professional experience; $69,100 - $86,350

Assistant Director 2: minimum 3 years professional experience; $62,650 - $78,300

Assistant Director 1: minimum 1 year professional experience or equivalent; $$56,700 - $70,900

Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, MBA/Masters preferred.

Minimum of one year of experience in an established and successful graduate business school career services office and/or corporate placement environment. Experience in both corporate and academic settings a plus.

Evening and weekend work may be required especially during peak seasons.
