Senior Library Associate Department Description Since 1853, the Chicopee Public Library has taken pride in bringing the best services and information to the residents of the City of Chicopee. About the Job The City of Chicopee\'s / Chicopee Public Library is hiring a Senior Library Associate. This position works approximately 18 to 24 hours per week in the Circulation Department providing public services, including one evening shift per week and a rotation of Saturdays, and approximately 17 to 11 hours per week in the Administrative office, depending on needs. Qualifications To be minimally qualified, one must meet the following criteria: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Five (5) years high performance library experience and demonstrated experience in administrative procedures, including Enterprise ERP or an Associate1s Degree with two (2) years library and administrative experience1 including Enterprise ERP Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience and/or applicable continuing education classes in the use of computer software applications. Experience with Evergreen ILS is preferred. Comprehensive computer skills including all office programs and software applications supportive of office administration and library presentations and applications, such as Excel, Word, Publisher, Google Docs, and Canva. Thorough knowledge of CW MARS ILS (Evergreen) and library and consortium policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, associates, subordinates, officials of other agencies) and the public. Licenses (If Applicable) N/A Essential Duties Include Provides library public service through Circulation Department at all locations as needed. Prepares biweekly payroll. Selects and procures library Museum Passes Maintains library events calendar. Schedules library room reservations as needed, including art exhibits. Keeps records of staff accrued time and sends HR all required documentation and reports. Creates purchase orders. Maintains accuracy of blanket and standard purchase orders. Orders supplies with vendors as needed. Other duties as assigned per the full job description. Salary/Compensation Employment Status: Non-Exempt; Full-Time Salary: UCFW Administrative Union, Grade A04, Step 01, Starting pay is \$19.81 per hour Expected Hours of Work This is a Full - Time, 35-hour/week position, with a schedule of various hours, Monday - Friday with rotations of Saturdays.
