About North Shore Community College:
NSCC is one of 15 Massachusetts community colleges. The college serves 26 cities and towns along the coastal region from north metropolitan Boston to Cape Ann. Legal Research (PLG102)
Location: Danvers Campus
Dates: January 15, 2019 - May 6, 2019
Times: 6:30 pm - 9:15 pm
Pre: Communications Proficiency
Introduction to legal research, methods and writing. Course will include the use of reporters, statutes, digests, citators, encyclopedias, legal periodicals and practice manuals. Emphasis placed on developing strategies for researching legal questions. Students will also learn the mechanics of writing case briefs and legal memoranda.

A JD degree or bachelors in Paralegal plus a related Master's degree and a minimum of three years paralegal experience.
Experiencing supervising paralegals within the last five years.
Current work experience related to the current content field required.
Teaching experience in higher education and/or at the community college level is strongly preferred.
Experience teaching online/hybrid and/or embedding the use of technology into the curriculum preferred.
A commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body is also required.
Salary will be $3,198 per course for first time faculty. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.
