Job Description:

Full-time Faculty, Associate Degree Nurse Education Program

Division of Health Professions and Human Services; MCCC/MTA Unit Position


  • Works as a member of the teaching teams to teach Medical Surgical Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Maternal/Child Nursing and Nursing Leadership in the classroom, clinical setting and clinical simulation laboratory.

  • Participates in curriculum development, program accreditation, evaluation of students, computerized test development, student advising, program and college committees.

  • Performs other duties as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

  • Availability to teach day and or evenings in the clinical setting.


  • An earned Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university

  • Minimum 2 years of full-time employment in nursing within the past 5 years

  • Evidence of clinical competence in area(s) of Medical Surgical and Mental Health Nursing or Maternal/Child Health is required.

  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing required.

  • Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations

  • Previous classroom and clinical instruction experience preferred.

  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team teaching environment

  • BLS Health Provider Level certification from AHA required.

  • Knowledge and experience with the use of patient simulators and technology preferred.

  • Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.

Additional Information:

SALARY:Anticipated salary range is $53,000-$55,000 per year plus fringe benefits. Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience in accordance with the MCCC/MTA collective bargaining agreement.

STARTING DATE: Fall semester beginning Semester 1, 2018. Must be available for orientation to clinical setting in August 2018.
