Seeking a passionate, articulate and enthusiastic technical trainer to deliver world class product training to our Field Service Engineers and Technical Support Engineers in a dynamic, hands-on, formal classroom setting. Primary duties will also include the creation and management of training materials. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends, as well as occasional travel, as required to respond to internal and external customer needs.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Have a strong technical background and be mechanically inclined.
Experience in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
Strong presentation skills – be articulate, passionate and an effective communicator.
Excellent written communication skills
An established trainer with the ability to engage and excite their audience.
Have a solid understanding and/or prior experience of the clinical side of the business.
Manage and maintain all training records and certifications to be compliant with regulatory requirements.
EXPECTATIONS OF THE ROLE:
30% Formal classroom style training based in our Danvers, MA Headquarters. Approximately 12 weeks per year.
40% Creation/Updating of documentation to include training, service manuals and bulletins. Liaison with cross-functional teams including Engineering and Service.
20% Maintain and service equipment used in formal training and marketing systems.
10% Domestic travel to assist Field Service Engineers to both diagnose, repair and validate training materials.
KEY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare annual training calendar and execute and coordinate the programs
Maintain and update existing training materials for both new hire and ongoing staff training efforts
Evaluate the skill sets and knowledge of trainees & provide documentation and feedback to Management
Be proficient in service and repair of all systems (current, new, and updated)
Attend and complete all required training and certifications.
Required to wear dosimeter when in direct contact with radiation emitting devices
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degrees in Engineering, Electronics or a minimum of 10 years progressive technical experience.
Technical training and at least 5 years hands on experience servicing medical equipment and 3 years experience training others preferred. Experience with CT and Imaging a plus
ISO, FDA, CMDR Awareness Training and Product Complaint System, or Certification – Health Stream preferred
Must be proficient with MS Office and Google Chrome
Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
Often required to Push/pull weights of over 100 pounds when maneuvering Company equipment for repair
Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
Must be able to sit and/or drive for long periods of time when traveling
Regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather).
Interaction with x-ray devices; for this reason strict safety and tracking programs are in place, requiring the utilization of dose monitoring equipment either full time or as necessitated by situation
Able to tolerate a high noise level in the work environment, which is occasionally very loud.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
