South Shore Community Action Council ? South Shore Early Education and Care a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape and Islands, South Shore Early Education and Care in Dennis Port seeks a full -time, permanent Teacher Assistant, 37.50 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Core Duties: Assist classroom teacher to create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Perform teaching activities under supervision of the teacher, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children. Meal assistance, bus monitor and other various activities as assigned. Core Qualifications: Massachusetts DEEC Teacher Certification required & related experience of minimum two years in preschool or similar program. AA/AS degree preferred, or in process in early education or related field. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic or Spanish) is preferred although not required.
