Center for Human Development Licensed Practical Nurse-2nd Shift in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts
Licensed Practical Nurse Second Shift Job Category: Professional Requisition Number: LICEN005847 Full-Time On-site East Longmeadow, MA 01028, USA Center for Human Development, (CHD), is currently looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our new Enhanced Medical Group Living Environment (EMGLE) program. Slated to open January 2025, this brand new 18-bed facility in East Longmeadow, MA allows you the ability to provide quality care and support to those we serve with a small LPN to client ratio. Under the supervision of designated charge nurse or RN, you will work with a support team of LPN\'s, CNA\'s and Direct Care staff providing care and compassion all the while gaining valuable experience in CHD\'s modern EMGLE facility. This is a 2nd shift full-time 32hrs a week - 3:00pm-11:00pm schedule. A competitive hourly wage of \$38.50/hr. is being offered. Additional holiday bonus pay provided for working on New Year\'s Eve, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day and Christmas Day. Take advantage of an attractive benefit package that is available with this LPN opportunity. . YOUR ROLE AS A LPN YOU WILL: Medication administration and management. Assist in medication audit processes. Attend participants care plan meetings/resource meetings. Provide direct care as needed. Providing personal hygiene care by assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths. Need to effectively understand details about a patient\'s health and provide charge nurse or RN with clear, precise information and observations. Provides activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding Persons as necessary; ambulating, Provides adjunct care by administering nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments. Maintains the stability of Persons served by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information. Qualifications: Have a license in practical nursing by The Board of Registration in Massachusetts. One-year experience as a LPN, preferred. One-year experience in a Behavioral Health setting, preferred. One-year experience working with the elderly, people with disabilities, behavioral challenges and cognitive disabilities, preferred. Valid driver\'s license. A clear and clean criminal history. Meeting physical demands of the role. IE: Ability to lift 45 lbs. or more, stocking supplies, extended periods of walking and/or standing. Participate and successfully complete assigned training requirements in compliance with CHD and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.
