Position Overview: Foxborough Regional Charter School (FRCS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Middle School Reading Interventionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literacy instruction and a strong commitment to supporting students in developing essential reading skills. This role involves providing targeted interventions to students who require additional support to improve their reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary skills. Responsibilities: Implement research-based reading intervention programs to support students in grades 5-8. Assess students' reading abilities using diagnostic tools and develop individualized intervention plans. Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction to students based on their specific needs and skill levels. Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and adjust intervention strategies as needed. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate intervention services and support student learning. Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and recommendations for additional support. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students and promote literacy development. Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in literacy instruction and intervention. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and intervention services provided. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Reading/Literacy, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Massachusetts teaching license or eligibility for licensure preferred. Experience working with middle school students in reading intervention or literacy instruction. Knowledge of research-based reading intervention strategies and instructional methods. Strong assessment skills and the ability to analyze student data to inform instructional decisions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Salary range: $52,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
