South Middlesex Opportunity Council Child Care Coordinator in Framingham, Massachusetts
SUMMARY:
To provide childcare services for residents under the direction of the Family Therapist. Role model positive parenting behaviors and skills for parents. Develop and implement the child service plan in coordination with the family therapist. Maintain child centered progress notes on all children.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide childcare services during assigned hours.
Assist the Family Therapist in the development of child-center service plan.
Complete assigned documentation in a timely manner.
Maintain daily log / sign-in book for services provided.
Provide individual family parenting education under the supervision of the family therapist.
Communicate with clinical staff on regular basis, attendance weekly clinical team meetings.
Respond effectively and inform the program management team of any emergency.
Provide on-site age and developmentally appropriate activities for children.
Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred or 3 years’ experience working with children in a daycare or pre-school setting.
Ability to pass CORI / SORI as required.
Good interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license preferred not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Ability to remain active for extended periods of time.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Directly reports to the Family Therapist
Direct reports of this position are the childcare workers.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Residential setting specifically daycare room / play area. Ability to climb stairs.
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
40 hours per week
