SCHOOL?S OUT/EDUCATION SITE DIRECTOR AND QUALITY ENHANCEMENTS The Site Director and Quality Enhancements at the MetroWest YMCA will improve program quality using an equity and anti-oppression lens within licensing requirements and YMCA policies. Salary from $45,000 annually!A FEW OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not the complete list): 1. Serve as School?s Out Site Director or fill other Education Branch leadership role as needed. Site Director responsibilities are: a. Manage, direct and coordinate the School?s Out site. Ensure high quality program, design practices, processes, and procedures for a high quality program. b. Recruit, hire, and evaluate diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity. Onboard and develop them for success. c. Manage the program, including developing and monitoring the program budget to meet fiscal objectives; providing developmentally appropriate curricula including clubs that are linked to the Curriculum Frameworks and supports school day learning. d. Assure compliance with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and the Child and Adult Care Food (CACFP) Program regulations. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed. e. Provide staff leadership for annual fund raising campaign and committees as assigned. f. Maintain proper records/department files. g. Facilitates Family Advisory Council meetings and organizes special events for parents. Assists in YMCA fundraising activities. 2. Curriculum: Research, implement, evaluate, and promote new and creative strategies and activities designed to support learning and enrichment provide through comprehensive academic, social-emotional, and health/wellness activities. 3. Evaluation: Create and implement strategies designed to measure, improve, and communicate activity and program quality and effectiveness. Use evidence-based tools when available and appropriate. 4. Professional development: Provide structured training as well as individual coaching/mentoring and technical assistance to support cultural responsiveness and equity, high quality programming and support to meet the specific needs of the children in our care. 5. Strategic initiatives and grants management: Coordinate implementation and integration of curricula and related programmatic components associated with grants, partnerships, and other quality efforts. Ensure compliance with grant related requirements when needed. 6. Diversity, equity, and inclusion: Provide leadership and recommendations for strategies to help the children, Y staff, families, and partners move forward in becoming more diverse, equitable, and inclusive while reducing oppression within and outside of the Y. 7. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions to maximize program impact and drive overall outcomes; maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility. QUALIFICATIONS: ? Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent is strongly preferred and committed to ongoing professional development. ? At least two years of experience with elementary school age children in a licensed OST program (including summer camp). Experience and training relating to working with high-needs children preferred. ? Compliance with EEC and DPH licensing regulations ? Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. ? Have current or ability to obtain 7D license for transporting students in Y van.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee needs sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions, to safely engage with children, and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations.
