Our suburban Haverhill campus sits on 106 acres near Kenoza Lake, and features a Technology Center and an award-winning Student One-Stop Center. Our urban campus in Lawrence occupies a number of buildings in the heart of downtown. Most recently, we have constructed a new 44,000 square foot health technologies facility, the Dr. Ibrahim El-Hefni Allied Health & Technology Center. Both campuses are a short drive to Boston and to the beaches and state parks along the coast. POSITION:Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving:Director; Institutional Advancement; Haverhill Campus; 37.5 hours/week, Non-Unit Professional Position SALARY:Anticipated starting salary range is $80,000 - $85,000 annually with complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits. SUMMARY:Primary responsibilities are to increase engagement and participation in support of the NECC Fund, fostering relationships with alumni and donors on behalf of the college, aligning donor priorities with the priorities and needs of the college to increase current use, endowed, and planned gifts. The Director should also lead the development and implementation of efficient and accurate system processes, practices, and policies related to the Raiser’s Edge database for data-informed decision-making and overall campaign success. The Director plays a key role in short-term and long-range planning for data integrity, gift processing & compliance, prospect management, reporting, and data analysis. ANTICIPATED START DATE:ASAP RESPONSIBILITES: /Annual & Scholarship Giving: 30%/ * In conjunction with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and the Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Stewardship, create goals and plans to achieve targets for dollars raised and donor participation. Monitor activity toward goals and report on progress. * Provide strategic leadership in designing and implementing appeals needed to sustain an annual giving effort * Provide constituent lists to support department publications and appeals, alumni and donor outreach efforts * Manage portfolio of donors and strategize their cultivation and stewardship * Analytics and record management in support of appeal, campaign, and fund performance across fiscal years focusing on current goals and strategies to determine the success of annual giving efforts * Primary point of contact for scholarship giving * Work with the Financial Aid and Admissions offices to ensure scholarship is awarded based on donor intentions, and that stewardship is fostered through the awarding and post-acceptance process * Coordinate scholarship selection committees such as the NECC Foundation and Alumni groups * Supports activities, initiatives and special events /Alumni Engagement: 30%/ * Work in close collaboration with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and theAssistant Director of Annual Giving & Stewardshipto coordinate alumni services, volunteer opportunities, and special events * Co-chair annual Giving Day event * Manage Protopia platform, benchmark and measure for success, and collaborate with college partners to promote it * Strategize closely with key stakeholders to identify alumni stories, donor potential, and engagement opportunities * Connect individual alumni with opportunities that appeal to their interest, serve as a resource and liaison to the greater college community * Collaborate with college stakeholders to incorporate alumni and donors into their programming to enhance the student experience * Facilitate programming that encourages broader alumni engagement * Manage and provide regular support to the Alumni Board in engaging them to help develop, advance and promote programs of the college on behalf of alumni * Coordinate Outstanding Alumni & Outstanding Student awards * Attend college’s annual commencement ceremony; assist with planning /Advancement Services: 30%/ * Work in the data base of record, Raiser’s Edge * Develop policies and procedures that emphasize data integrity and consistency * Work to identify inconsistencies and errors in Raiser’s Edge and proactively find ways to address them * Generate statistical and analytical reports that help to compare and analyze fundraising efforts across campaigns and appeals * Generate queries, lists, and exports for mailings, appeals, and stewardship efforts * Create constituent reports that help identify key cohorts for accurate segmentation * With Vice President for Institutional Advancement, create gift agreements and supporting documentation for institutional files * Manage individual endowment criteria in the Blackbaud Award Management Scholarship Software * Serve as data manager for alumni data as part of Data Governance /Other Duties and Responsibilities: 10%/ * Review and plan for content updates and edits for IA-affiliated web-pages * Perform general office duties, including answering phone calls and providing positive customer service to internal and external constituencies. * Manage annual giving and alumni budgets using zero based budgeting strategy OVERARCHING GOALS * Help increase philanthropic giving to the college * Help identify prospects, acquire new donors, cultivate existing relationships and increase donor retention * Enhance engagement with external community, with particular focus on alumni, donors, and friends PLEASE NOTE, WE DO NOT REVIEW APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED THROUGH MASSCAREERS.
