State of Massachusetts Part-Time Exercise Science Program Coordinator in Haverhill, Massachusetts

Our suburban Haverhill campus sits on 106 acres near Kenoza Lake, and features a Technology Center and an award-winning Student One-Stop Center. Our urban campus in Lawrence occupies a number of buildings in the heart of downtown. POSITION:Part-Time Exercise Science Program Coordinator:Instructor;Division of Health Professions; Haverhill Campus; 18.75 hours/week; MCCC/MTA Unit Faculty Position SALARY:Anticipated starting salary range is $23,810 - $26,960 per academic year with complete fringe benefit package. ANTICIPATED START DATE:ASAP RESPONSIBILITIES: * Specific duties for this position include: · Teach a variety of courses across all levels of Exercise Science curriculum · Oversee classroom and laboratory courses in Exercise Science · Organize, administer, and evaluate comprehensive program and faculty effectiveness · Conduct on-going program review and assessment · Participate in developing and implementing the program budget · Serve as an academic advisor to students in the program · Facilitate for program accreditation · Manage curriculum development, implementation, assessment and revision using defined program outcomes · Participate in divisional and college committees and related activities · Responsible for overall growth and implementation of Exercise Science education. *PLEASE NOTE, WE DO NOT REVIEW APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED THROUGH MASSCAREERS. PLEASE APPLY VIA THE LINK BELOW: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * · M.S. in Exercise Science or related discipline with college-level teaching experience · At least three (3) years' full-time experience in exercise science career · Demonstrate currency in professional discipline through continuing education, professional development, and/or scholarly activity · Knowledgeable about the current standards and practices of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and about evidenced-informed practice · Demonstrated ability to effectively relate to, and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment · Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation and assessment; including evidence of competence in evaluating instructional methods and techniques appropriate to different student learning style · Demonstrated ability to work collegially as a leader and as a team member *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * · Extensive educational leadership in community college system · Proven success in Exercise Science Program growth and management · Excellent communication with clinical and field sites · Proven interdisciplinary collaboration in community college setting · Established relationships with community partners · Bilingual (Spanish/English) · Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population *BACKGROUND CHECK:Candidates will be required to pass a CORI and SORI check as a condition of employment.
