South Shore Community Action Council Group Leader in Hyannis, Massachusetts

South Shore Early Education, a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, South Coast, Cape Cod, & Islands. South Shore Early Education in Hyannis seeks a Group Leader, 15 hours per week, Before & After school group leader 10-15 hrs. a week 35 hrs. during school vacation weeks, & summer- 52 weeks a year no benefits apply, other than pro-rated paid holidays, when scheduled to work; & MA state sick time law. POSITION: Before & After School Group Leader Core Responsibilities: Will require more coverage during school vacation weeks, early release days, & as needed. School-age population. Assist in coordinating all programmatic functions in collaboration with the Site Coordinator. Ability to accurately interpret & apply EEC regulations. Responsible for engagement, supervision, & care of children in the Before &/or After-School Programs. Core Qualifications: MA EEC, LTPS certification license preferred, AA/AS degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field such as Child Care or Psychology, preferred, although not required. At least 3 months experience working with children 5 to 12 years old. Knowledge of the comprehensive purpose & philosophy of the EEC program regulations. Experience & compassion working with children & families. Minimum Requirements at employment: All candidates must undergo a background check where applicable; before beginning employment.
