PURPOSE OF POSITION: Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Administers and monitors patient responses to all medications. Directs and guides patient care, teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing within the realm of Hospital Policy. Maintains and delivers the highest quality customer service standards. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Basic Life Support Certification required. Successful passage of CCHC's Pharmacology exam. Must read, write and communicate in English. Successful passage of Basic Arrhythmia Program challenge exam or Course within 6 months of new position. ACLS required within 6 months of new position and must maintain certification. Telemetry experience required. PCI (Cardiac Cath) class within three months. BSN Preferred. Med/Surg. experience in an acute care facility within the last 2 years, experience in the management of cardiac patients preferred. Recent telemetry experience, Med/Surg. certification preferred. Experience with post cardiac Cath and post pacer patients preferred. Experience in the management of post Cardiac/Surgery/telemetry patients and post Cardiac Intervention patients including femoral sheath monitoring preferred.
