ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1a. Design, develop, schedule, measure results, conduct follow-up, & maintain web-based (WBT), instructor-led (ILT), & blended training. Responsible for updating & enhancing current training curriculum (e.g., New Hire Teller, Platform Argo Basics, IRA, Business, Compliance, Product Knowledge, Lending Training), as well as the design & development of new learning initiatives. Lead lessons learned sessions, & apply learnings to process improvement designed to increase quality or efficiency of the Training & Development Team & its members. 1b. Deliver/facilitate instructor-led courseware & workshops, serving as the primary or backup facilitator for various curricula (e.g., new hire training in Retail), as well as supporting targeted special assignments for specific audiences (e.g., new product or system training). Facilitate one or more specific curricula & specific courses. Conduct all facilitator prep work, including sending out materials in a timely manner; communicating with learners to ensure they know dates, times, locations, & pre-work expectations; arranging the room; & prepping any easel charts & handouts. Schedule course events (i.e., provide input into quarterly training calendar, reserve training room(s), setup online sessions, build in LMS, & write communication to learners). Remain current on relevant policies & procedures, other internal documentation in our content management & knowledge management systems, & trends. (This includes attending key meetings & periodically checking in with stakeholders across the company.) Recognize common problem topics or activities within the curricula & coordinate with the Director of Learning & Development to develop a recommendation strategy for improving curricula design, materials, & / or facilitation strategies. Time in 1a, 1b, or some combination of the two: 50-75% Perform specialized support duties. Time: 10-25% All Training Specialists share ongoing support to bank employees & the Learning & Development Team. Specialized support duties may include, but are not limited to: Provide basic day-to-day LMS support to bank employees (e.g., resolve completion status issues, reset passwords) & Learning & Development Team (e.g., building, assigning, & scheduling courses).. Professional Development. Time: 10% Become an active learner in adult learning theories & eLearning technology. Become familiar with the various components of Instructional Design, the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, & Evaluation) & eLearning software (e.g., Captivate, Camtasia). Attend workshops & webinars on various components on design, development, instruction, & facilitation. Participate in project brainstorming sessions with team members assigned to different projects. Administrative time. Time: 5% Attend corporate &/or team meetings. Attend additional meetings, as assigned. Generate standard reports. Serve as an informational resource to all bank employees; provide information, follow up & resolution of a variety of training-related, administrative, clerical, or procedural issues. EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position) BA/BS required, ideally in Business, Finance, Training, English, Communications, Instructional Design, or Education. Minimum of 2 years of retail banking experience (e.g., sales, customer service, consumer lending, computer systems, &/or coaching others in a financial services organization), or equivalent work experience in developing & delivering adult learning training/solutions.
