Massachusetts Employer K-12 Education Navigator in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

FamilyAid is Greater Boston\'s leading provider of solutions to family homelessness. Our mission is to empower parents and caregivers facing homelessness to secure and sustain housing and build strong foundations for their children\'s futures. General Responsibilities: To support these strategies, the agency seeks a dynamic and driven K-12 Education Navigator. The K-12 Education Navigator will be responsible for creating partnerships and pathways for case managers to connect school age children and parents in FamilyAid\'s care to critical supports that enhance children\'s educational development and executive functions that promote quality of life and self-sufficiency. Experienced, knowledgeable, and networked with the K-12 service delivery system across Greater Boston, the K-12 Education Navigator will be the agency?s key content expert for services, resources and other collaterals that support the educational development of all school-age children in the household. Qualifications & Requirements: The successful candidate will have a bachelor\'s degree. Master\'s degree in relevant discipline is preferred. 5 years of professional experience/training. Demonstrated success in building partnerships, in applying evidence-based practices including Trauma-Informed Care and motivational interviewing. Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of a two-generational approach that supports both parents and children. Strong K-12, youth development, training, and education networks, and knowledge of local organizations that enhance positive youth development and academic success. Ability to work in both office and field-based settings with a diverse population. Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Haitian-Creole a plus. Benefits: Work Schedule and Conditions: This position is currently hybrid. FamilyAid?s headquarters is located at 3815 Washington Street, Boston, Ma 02130. Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5PM, 40 hours/week. Some evening availability is required, with the flexibility to best meet client and program needs.
