We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Farmstead Creamery team as a Farm Store Team Lead. Located on our picturesque farm - just steps away from where our cows are milked and our artisanal products are crafted - our farm store offers a selection of our handmade dairy products alongside a variety of locally produced goods. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses excellent communication and customer service skills. This individual will be responsible for leading daily retail operations, ensuring high standards of service, and supporting the team to provide an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and support daily retail operations, including cash register transactions and accountability - Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm, providing product recommendations and ensuring a positive shopping experience - Address and direct customer inquiries to the appropriate management or department heads as needed - Assist team members with ice cream service; with close attention to presentation and portion control - Assist with the fulfillment of special orders, including gift baskets, shipping requests, and event orders - Prepare specialty charcuterie boards, ensuring quality and aesthetic appeal - Assist Retail Operations Manager with inventory management, accountability and ordering - Handle cheese stock, including cutting, wrapping, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels while maintaining ServSafe standards - Promote store offerings through daily sample marketing - Maintain an organized and visually appealing retail space by restocking, fronting, and facing items - Uphold cleanliness and food safety standards within the store environment Qualifications & Requirements: - Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and stand for extended periods - Strong customer service, leadership, organizational and communication skills - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - 3 plus years\' experience in retail or customer service is preferred - Knowledge of cheese, specialty foods, and artisanal products is a plus - Positive, professional attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus tips. - Employee benefits include store discounts, a weekly milk stipend, and more. - Flexible scheduling with part-time and full-time shifts available. - The Farmstead Creamery shop operates seven days a week, with shifts covering days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
