The College Internship Program (CIP) is a comprehensive post-secondary support program for young adults on the Autism Spectrum, with Asperger’s, ADHD and other Learning Differences. We offer full-year individualized academic, social, career and life skills support. Our Mission is to inspire independence and expand the foundation on which young adults can build happy and productive lives.

Our Berkshire Center location is currently accepting resumes for part-time Life Skills Coach openings.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Teach students all tasks involved in apartment cleaning and maintenance

Provide instruction in grocery shopping, cooking and kitchen cleaning

Provide students a safe and nurturing environment for learning

Oversee students’ personal hygiene and assist with shopping, seasonal clothing inventory and laundry skills

Provide emotional support and guidance to students and initiate positive group interaction

Manage crisis situations effectively and document resolution and action taken

Transport students as needed

Participate with students in social and wellness activities in the community

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university

Belief in and knowledge of the potential abilities and skills of people living with learning and attention differences, Asperger's, high functioning autism, and related hidden disabilities.

Professional, polite and charismatic demeanor

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong work ethic and ability to multitask

Ability to get along with others in a fast paced environment

Experience working with our population desirable

Background check required

Clean driving record required
