Robert Half Hardware Design Engineer in Littleton, Massachusetts
Description We are searching for an innovative Hardware Analyst to join our team in Littleton, Massachusetts. This role involves playing a key role in the development and implementation of hardware solutions for a variety of projects. Working in collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
Responsibilities:
• Design and optimization of analog and digital circuits for a variety of applications
• Conduct circuit simulations and analysis to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Creation and modification of PCB layouts using industry-standard tools
• Oversee the prototyping process and collaborate with manufacturers to ensure design integrity
• Research and select appropriate components based on project requirements and cost considerations
• Manage relationships with suppliers to source components and manage the supply chain
• Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware designs
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues during development and testing phases
• Collaborate with software engineers, firmware developers, and other team members to integrate hardware components seamlessly
• Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to enhance overall system performance
• Create comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, layouts, and design specifications
• Maintain accurate records of changes and updates throughout the development process
• Ensure hardware designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into design practices. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a hardware analyst role or similar
• Proven expertise in PCB Design and Schematic Design
• Proficient in using Altium Designer for designing hardware systems
• Experience with SAN - Storage Area Network is required
• Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive test plans
• Must have a strong background in Circuit Design
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
