The presence of the IA in the elementary school level classroom (grades K-2) is important in order to carry out the lesson successfully. In particular, their assistance is important regarding the supervision and attention of our special needs and low-achieving students. Often IEP students require individual attention, and the student would benefit if the IA would assist. This helpful assistance improves the students? ability to learn.
The manner in which the IA assists the Specialty teacher will be collaborative.
