The Breast and Skeletal Health Solutions Clinical Affairs Liaison (CAL) is responsible for the exchange of medical and scientific data with physicians and other clinical professionals regarding Hologic products for the Breast Surgery Franchise .
In addition, the CAL is responsible for supporting the strategic direction and execution of professional medical education. He or she will communicate regularly with business leadership, create a strategy, develop the necessary programs and execute medical education within the respective regions. This includes comprehensive education related to either breast imaging, skeletal imaging, breast biopsy/interventional or surgical products or specific product training courses for Radiologic Technologists, Radiologists and Surgeons.
The CAL will work closely with Breast Surgery marketing and other key business stakeholders to develop a variety of medical education activities to include: Key Opinion Leader Speakers Bureau, support Scientific Advisory Board meetings, educational programs and Clinical Research Strategies. This position reports to: Sr. Director, Global Medical Education.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Developstandards to identify, engage and evaluatemutually beneficialrelationships with external stakeholders (physicians, scientific experts,educators and investigators) foreducational and clinical research partnerships ensuringalignment with strategic objectives
Understandand effectively communicate current scientific knowledge related to Hologic’sproducts with external customers
Createengaging and varied learning programs that meet the needs of our healthcareprofessionals- ie: Virtual, Webex etc.
SupportsKOL recruitment/participation in various corporate projects as requested
Executehands-on lab programs using key opinion leaders to drive adoption of products
Consultwith faculty and internal team on educational program objectives, design, implementationand evaluation
Supportsregional Clinical Research programs including contracting and milestoneadministration
OverseesScientific Advisory Boards and/or focus groups as needed
Driveseducational led meetings and programs (ie: workshops, symposia) at identifiedSociety meetings
Manages alllogistics to include KOL contracting, post program feedback and budgets
Buildpartnerships with key academic institutions and societies
Attend appropriate scientific meetings, conductroutine literature searches and communicate key learnings to the CA team forfurther dissemination of meeting/publication results
Maintains monthlyschedule of Medical Education programs and ensures survey/feedback is collectedand summarized quarterly
Liaise with Sales forphysician and allied health training programs (webinars, seminars, CME/CEUactivities and workshops)
Develops and managesa budget
Responsible for allcompliance with regards to Healthcare Professionals and country specific laws
Takes on other rolesand responsibilities that may be required in support of Hologic’s or thedepartment
Work collaboratively across multiple levels of theorganization and lead influentially, must have exceptional judgment, integrity,and ethics.
Flexible and able to work on multiple projects withaggressive timelines. Must be hard-working, energetic and passionate aboutmaking a difference with the highest integrity; committed to ethics andscientific standards.
Understand and effectively communicate scientific andmedical information to both internal and external customers. Excellent writtenand oral communication skills are imperative.
Anticipate and adapt to change while maintaining themomentum of an overall strategic plan.
Work independently, yet engage in collaborative decisionmaking, to complete tasks in a timely fashion, and function in a rapid-pacedenvironment.
Establish strong relationships with peer groups,professional organizations, and other outside parties to further departmentaland corporate objectives & goals
Education & Experience:
Must have OperatingRoom experience, preferably in Women’s Health
Former OR Sales experience preferred
BA/BS + 8 years exp; medical or scientific experiencewithin a medical device or biotechnology company
Experience organizing medical education programs to includecadaver/non-cadaver labs preferred
Location: Marlborough, MA or Danbury, CT Office
