Our US student program includes 10-12 week internships and 3-6 month co-op assignments. The scope and length of your assignment will vary depending on the specific site and function.
DuPont Electronics & Industrial is seeking to fill internship positions with a graduate-level student as part of the GOLD internship program (https://www.dupont.com/careers/diversity-and-inclusion/about-the-gold-program.html). The DuPont GOLD (Growth Opportunities Leading in Diversity) program is intended for doctoral scientists from underrepresented groups (African American/Black, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Hispanic/Latinx, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander) interested in career opportunities in industrial research at DuPont. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary process engineering and chemistry team aimed at the scale-up and commercialization of electronic materials.
Ownership of a portion of a project
Ability to meet project deliverables and create new ones if needed
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a lab and professional environment
Ability to plan, set up, and carry out routine analytical measurements of lab samples
Ability to design and execute experiments
Data analysis and reporting
Flexibility to perform other appropriate tasks as directed by Manager and/or Project Lead

Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (i.e. mechanical, chemical, polymer, ceramics, materials, data science, electrical)
Experience or interest in one of these fields: polymer engineering, materials mechanical testing, rheology, computational material science, material properties modeling, or material scale-up and processing, polymer processing, semiconductor processing, process engineering, mmw and RF antenna design and characterization, metrology, metallurgy, electron microscopy, condensed and soft matter physics, semiconductor device, and physics, high-speed high frequency, nano and microfabrication, thermal modeling, ceramic synthesis, formulation, machine learning for materials
Excellent communication skills and effective teamwork skills
The ability to follow standard operating procedures and work safely
Must be independent, self-motivated, and capable of multi-tasking
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc, and the ability to learn new systems quickly is required
Proficiency in data analysis & basic statistics skills
GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 scale)
