The Senior Manager, IT Operations is responsible for leading a team of associates and ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of our ERP systems. The ideal candidate will be a strong cultural fit, and have a deep understanding of technology, excellent leadership and communication skills, strong project management abilities, and a passion for innovation and customer service.

This position reports to the Director, IT Operations and is part of Interprise Applications and Operations located in Marlborough, MA and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the ERP applications and its stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. Seek continuous feedback from ERP end users/stakeholders and work to improve end user experience and clear communications.

  • Collaborate with other IT operational leaders to harmonize and evolve our operational capabilities. Partner with various IT functions, such as IT Risk, IT Compliance, Application Infrastructure, Validation, QA, etc., to guarantee highly scalable and reliable systems that meet emerging requirements. Oversee and manage associates and contingent workers. Liaise with external vendors as necessary

  • Deliver quality services in alignment with the Enterprise Applications IT Operations roadmap; identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enrich overall operations.

  • Lead L1 and L2 operations teams; responsible for Change, Incident, Problem and Critical Incident management, Disaster Recovery, detailed documentation for ERP portfolio; drive ITIL and ITSM practices and process rigor. Engage L3 support where applicable and facilitate activities through resolution.

  • Oversee tickets and escalations. Respond to critical systems events and outages; drive activities based on priority and SLA’s.Plan and execute software releases and other maintenance activities.

  • Monitor uptime and performance; collaborate to address performance optimization opportunities. Look at opportunities to innovate and modernize (using Chatbots, AI etc.).

  • Act as ERP SOX control owner; responsible for all IT SOX controls applicable to ERP portfolio. Contribute data to formal metrics and collaborate to increase visibility into the status and health of the ERP portfolio.

  • Adhere to GxP Regulations for all GxP processes and assist in any audit (Internal/External).

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience.

  • 7+ years of applicable experience.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience, leading and managing a global IT team in a high-growth and dynamic work environment.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels both within and outside of the organization.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • 2+ year experience in ERP, preferably Oracle EBS and SAP.

  • Proven track record of successful leadership in ensuring buy-in at all levels including developers, architects, peers, middle and senior management.

  • ITIL, Agile expertise. DBS or Lean experience.

  • Knowledgeable in compliance, governance and information security.
