Century Bank Learning and Development Specialist in Medford, Massachusetts

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Learning & Development, the Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the design, development, scheduling and conducting of in-class and online training Bank-wide.

  • Map out training plans, design and develop training programs for Bank associates.

  • Provide train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.

  • Manage and maintain Bank’s Learning Management System.

  • Conduct New Hire Onboarding in conjunction with Human Resources.

  • Monitors and/or ensures compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering, in addition to, Bank operation policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:

Retail and operational banking knowledge. Strong organizational skills. Project management experience. Writing and documentation skills. On-line training program design and development. Strong presentation skills. Excellent public speaking ability. PC skills – various software including Information Mapping, PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Strategic problem-solving ability. Leadership skills. Must be able to work well independently but also as part of team. Ability to build a team-working environment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus specialized training equivalent to 2 years of college Also, 2+ years of bank training experience.

Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:

Training/facilitation requires training room set-up and breakdown. (This includes moving of tables and chairs.) Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds. May require several hours of standing.
