Sodexo is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian for McLean Hospital Southeast in Middleborough, MA which is 40 miles south of Boston. The selected candidate will work 6 hrs/day on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday (18 hrs/week). McLean Hospital is a leader in psychiatric care, research, and education and is the largest psychiatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. This position provides a great opportunity for someone interested in a behavioral health setting with an emphasis on counseling. This position is Eligible for Benefits !

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian and licensed in the state of MA (or in the process of becoming licensed);

  • Provide nutritional care and education to behavioral health patients;

  • Be responsible for planning and implementing group nutrition classes;

  • Meet Joint Commission/State/Federal and company standards;

  • Be the primary liaison between the medical team and nursing staff;

  • Have a passion for providing nutritional counseling in a behavioral health setting;

  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;

  • Assist within the Food Service Department as needed.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services

Key Duties

-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.

-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.

-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.

-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.

-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
