P.A.C.E., Inc. Lead Teacher in New Bedford, Massachusetts

LEAD TEACHER We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: Must meet EEC Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher requirements; Hold an Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education/related field; Be CPR/First Aid Certified; At least one (1) year experience as a Lead Infant/Toddler teacher, preferred; Able to be active (8) hours a day to support children with individual needs that may include disabilities. Physically able to safely supervise children four (4) weeks ? five (5) years of age, including but not limited to lifting a child up to 50 lbs., pushing and/or pulling up to 75 lbs., climbing stairs, participating in field trips and neighborhood walks; Must be able to pass background checks (CORI, DCF, SORI, and Fingerprint based National and State criminal history background check); Must have a valid driver?s license. The Early Head Start Lead Teacher will have primary responsibility of planning and managing the daily activities of the classroom and will communicate cooperatively in support of parents, teaching staff, and program managers concerning program operations and services to children and families.
