P.A.C.E., Inc. Lead Teacher in New Bedford, Massachusetts
LEAD TEACHER We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills; a passion for working with children in an early learning environment. ? BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field required. EEC Lead Teacher qualified and experience in a pre-school classroom preferred; ? Nurturing and patient with children aged birth to 5 years, able to develop age appropriate lesson plans and implement engaging activities; familiarity with Early Childhood Assessments - preferably Teaching Strategies Gold; ? Oversee the daily classroom management, routine and activities, and support other classroom staff; ? Plan and implement activities and events to engage families in their child?s learning. Must be comfortable communicating with families, co-workers, and supervisors in a professional manner; ? Comfortable working with bi-cultural children and families as well as children of differing abilities; knowledgeable about child development, learning through play, developmentally appropriate practice and quality learning environments; ? Bi-lingual desired; ? Must be able to pass CORI & DCF background checks. *PACE Head Start Teachers are part of Local 1596 UAW (Union) The candidate for this position will be the primary educator in a classroom at one of our New Bedford sites.
