We are looking for candidates with a passion for working with children in an early learning environment with the following qualifications and skills: AA degree or CDA credential preferred. Experience in an early education and care setting or relevant human service setting; Nurturing and patient with children aged birth to 5 years; Must be comfortable communicating with families and co-workers in a professional manner; Assist with classroom management, daily routine and activities with children; Ability to work independently, yet function as a part of a team; Able to work with bi-cultural children and families; knowledgeable about child development, learning through play and developmentally appropriate practice; Bi-lingual desired; Must be able to pass CORI & DCF background checks. *PACE Head Start Teachers are part of Local 1596 UAW (Union) The candidate for this position will provide care to children at one of New Bedford sites.
