Description
We are seeking a driven, experienced, talented and inventive leader to join the Robotics Manufacturing and Technical Operations. Our exceptional team is dedicated, focused and always up for a challenge which has enabled us to deliver the largest fleet of industrial mobile robots in the world. The candidate will shine in ambiguous situations and navigate between the details and big picture and excel at both written and verbal communication. The candidate will be a critical member of the leadership team and develop operational processes, technical reviews, own the business cadence, as well as strategic documents such as 3-year plan, operational planning, and capacity planning. The right candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, program management and process excellence background, have demonstrated experience leading large, complex initiatives involving multiple technologies, teams and cross-functional processes.
Key job responsibilities
Lead a team to deliver on key programs and goals of the business.
Manage internal and external cross team dependencies, making sure that all teams are ready to deliver and align accordingly
Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's operations, processes, and key stakeholder relationships to anticipate the Leadership needs and proactively address issues.
Develop and implement effective operational strategies, policies, and procedures that drive continuous improvement and enhance departmental performance.
Lead the operational planning(OP), strategic planning session (SPS) coordination, and execution of high-impact operational projects and initiatives, serving as a project manager and subject matter expert.
Represent RMTO in various internal and external meetings, effectively communicating department priorities, challenges, and achievements to key stakeholders.
Analyze operational data, identify trends and opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations to inform decision-making and drive strategic initiatives.
Serve as a trusted liaison between the RMTO and cross-functional leaders, fostering collaborative relationships and aligning operational priorities.
Champion the adoption of industry best practices, innovative technologies, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance the organizations capabilities.
Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities
Develop employees through hands-on coaching, mentoring and performance management.
Build a high-performance team by creating opportunities aligned with organizational goals and career aspirations

About the team
Robotics Manufacturing and Technical Operations (RMTO) provides world class manufacturing production, process and production system design, advanced manufacturing and supply chain quality engineering, and test services for complex electro-mechanical systems. We are responsible for manufacturing the largest fleet of industrial mobile robots in the world and are constantly identifying opportunities to improve and deliver more for our customers.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
10+ years in hardware development across full product life cycles including scoping, planning, design, development, testing, compliance, manufacturing and launch.
10+ years managing scope, schedule and resources across multiple cross-functional hardware and software engineering teams
7+ years of people leadership experience
5+ years as a Technical Program Manager or Engineering Project Manager
Track record of managing cross functional hardware technology programs including mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and/or manufacturing.
Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple projects in parallel
Demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrix environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills, proven problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills
Experience in building a high-performing team
Preferred Qualifications
Strong business acumen in combination with technical experience
Proven ability to build relationships, influence others, and facilitate agreement among stakeholders with different interests
Self-starter with an ability to motivate teams and deliver results
Proven record of working with product and engineering leadership to deliver products and services
Strong interpersonal, analytical, creative problem-solving, and negotiation skills
