NES had been honored as a National Blue Ribbon School, one of only five schools in MA to receive this recognition in 2021-22 from the federal Department of Education. The school has strong educational programming and a positive culture for both children and adults. NES is part of a small, cohesive, and forward-thinking district (PVRSD) in beautiful Western Massachusetts. Nestled along the Connecticut River, and bordering both Vermont and New Hampshire, our district is at the literal crossroads of a tri-state region rich with agricultural and cultural resources. The district serves 650+ students across three schools PreK-12 and has an annual budget of almost \$17 million. The district is in an exciting period of rejuvenation, with an anticipated budgetary focus on hands-on learning, including environmental education on our beautiful campuses.
