Role Overview

The Retirement Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Specialist in Quincy. In this role, you will develop and deliver classroom and e-learning training programs. These programs can be systems, process, operations or industry related topics.

Responsibilities

  • Develops curriculum, programs and multi-level courses to suit the needs of the Retirement Solutions Group.

  • Evaluate and define the need for new course/program development ensuring link to existing programs and/or themes.

  • Lead and manage training initiatives and facilitates all classroom and e-learning programs.

  • Provide guidance, leadership and subject matter expertise on adult learning.

  • Initiate needs assessments and evaluation tools.

  • Keep abreast of client and industry business issues in order to anticipate needs and plan appropriate programs.

  • Determines best assessment method and diagnoses training needs and impact of projects and proposed solutions.

  • Defines project plans, detail of activities, timetables/milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience, a Master’s degree and 1 year of work-related experience, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience.

  • Knowledge of management theories and techniques; classroom facilitation and presentation skills; adult learning and theories.

  • Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to industry and company practices.

  • Ability to interface with audiences at all levels.

  • Ability to motivate and influence and get cooperation from others.

  • Experience converting classroom based training into an eLearning environment.

  • Financial Services and/or industry experience preferred.
