Brockton Hospital Medical Assistant - Rx Team in Raynham, Massachusetts
Under the direction of the Rx Team Supervisor, Practice Director and/or Director of Nursing, the Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for answering phone calls, documentation and data entry related to providing medication prescription refills and medication prior authorizations for patients as requested. Minimum of a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant certification program. Medical Assistant certification through one of the following organizations required within 90 days of hire: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), American Medical Certification Agency (AMCA)- Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMA), National Health Career Association (NHA) - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT) - Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Association of Health Professionals- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) - National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA). Current American Heart Association BLS (basic life support) for healthcare workers (with AED) required. Previous experience preferred. , Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion. Meditech, IDX and AllScripts experience preferred.
