Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Operate forklifts as directed and without supervision while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements.

• Position forks, lifting platform, or another lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials.

• Hook tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transport load to designated area.

• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.

• Inventory materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance to include recharging batteries, lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.

• Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.

• Ensure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area.

• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Essential Skills

• Sit-down forklift operation skills.

• Experience using Hyundai 40D 4 prong forklift.

• Ability to read job specifications and determine operator adjustments and material requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Hydraulic certification preferred.

• Experience operating a sit-down forklift for over two years is ideal.

• Minimum one year of sit-down forklift experience required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rehoboth, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
