Manville School, since opening in 1957, has continuously been recognized as a leader of special needs day schools in the Boston area. Manville provides educational services for up to 115 students from kindergarten through 10th grade and has approximately 100 educational, clinical and counseling staff members. POSITION OVERVIEW
Put your special education certification and math teaching experience to use in a collaborative school environment. Experience exceptional support and leadership, while enriching your knowledge through specialized trainings, on-going meetings with other math specialists, and professional development opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer and interpret formal and informal math assessments and write reports and recommendations.
Together with educational staff, develop math goals and objectives, and collect data to measure outcomes for IEPs.
REQUIREMENTS
MA Moderate Disabilities and/or Math Specialist certification.
Experience working with students with math disabilities.
Knowledge of MA Mathematics Curriculum Frameworks & Common Core Standards in Mathematics.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with diagnostic assessment.
Experience with student population preferred.
