Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health has an immediate opportunity for an Education Director.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts and Rhode Island provides programs and services for children and adolescents with ASD, complex mental health and behavioral challenges. Located in Rutland, MA this position is responsible for the operation, academic and treatment quality, integrity and financial success of Devereux MA Schools. The selected candidate will foster Devereux’s mission and values of quality care.
This opportunity will offer you:
Experience to provide administrative oversight to 2 schools (one in Fitchburg and one in Rutland)
Support in growing an educational program as well as special interest projects
Trainings and the ability to attend/present at conferences
A role that not only has an administrative component, but an opportunity to be a hands-on member of the education team (you won't lose the personal component of interacting with the children and the families).
In this role you will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
Promoting teamwork, personal accountability, service excellence, respectful and supportive approaches, and creating a positive impact through effective leadership and role modeling. Effective performance requires a high degree of independent judgment.
Demonstrating the skills and knowledge needed to develop and implement quality academic services designed to meet the individualized needs of the populations served.
Ensuring that practices are compliant with DESE Regulations and are based on evidence-based and/or best practices.
Using critical-review practices, develops and implements proactive risk management strategies to ensure safety.

Master’s degree in related field of study.
Licensure as a Special Education Administrator.
Minimum of five years of senior management or leadership experience within a behavioral health setting.
