Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care in Somerville as the Program Director for our Early Head Start Program!

The Program Director manages the clinical and administrative functions of our home-based program which provides comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income infants and toddlers and their families, and pregnant women and their families in Somerville, Cambridge and Medford.

The team is a diverse, dynamic and passionate group consisting of clinicians, home visitors and specialists.

The Director will:

  • supervise the managerial staff

  • provide leadership and program development as well as interface with the larger system of providers and child serving state agencies

  • administer Federal grant in accordance with grantor guidelines, laws, policies and best practices

  • work closely with the agency’s Finance Department to monitor and oversee the program’s budget and implement sound financial practices

Required Experience

  • BA/BS in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Public Health or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years post-Master's level experience in providing educational or social services to children and families Head Start or Early Head Start experience preferred, including experience with federal reviews/monitoring and experience in budgeting/financial management

  • Prior supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership capacities required
