Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join Cambridge Somerville Riverside Community Care as a Teaching Assistant in our Early Intervention Program!

Join our multidisciplinary Early Intervention program team in providing a variety of playgroups for children, newborns to 3 years old, and their caregivers.

The Teaching Assistant:

  • Collaborates with group facilitators to develop curriculum and therapeutic activities for groups and, as groups progress, how to adapt to meet the both individual and group needs.

  • Schedules groups

  • Sets up and cleans up classrooms

  • Other administrative/clerical duties as needed

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Required Skills

We are looking for someone whose personal educational philosophy and teaching style are compatible with the EI philosophy of creating nurturing, creative environments and supporting parents to have positive interactions with their children.

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required

  • Classroom experience with infant, toddler and/or pre- school age preferred but not required

  • Knowledge and experience in the field of early childhood education is preferred, with Infant Toddler EEC certification or course work preferred but not required
